PERRY TOWNSHIPÂ (WLIO) - The Perry Township Board of Trustees held a meeting tonight, which was well attended by local residents, concerned about recent activity which pointed toward future development in the township.
Multiple topics were up for discussion Tuesday night, but several in the crowd spoke of their concerns, with reported communications from realtors, or the Allen Economic Development Group, regarding land options.
One person who spoke out said they had been contacted regarding an option, but no explanation had been offered, in terms of what was being planned. That spurred concerns over the potential development of a new industrial plant in the township. That in turn, raising concerns on how this possible project could affect all Perry residents, but most notably the local farmers and their land and homes that have been passed down from generation to generation. Township officials told Your Hometown Stations, they could not comment.
