Cooking on the day before Thanksgiving may seem like such a burden to people. Which is why it makes sense more people are eating out on Thanksgiving Eve.
According to pizza.com, Thanksgiving Eve is one of the top five pizza sales days of the year. Others being days such as Super Bowl Sunday and New Years Eve. Local restaurants, like Beer Barrel, are preparing for today like it was a typical Friday or Saturday. General Manager Audrey Leach says they have be preparing for weeks for this day.
"Basically, while everybody is at home preparing for their big Thanksgiving feast, we're here feeding everybody that's cooking, prepping, and planning for the following day," Leach said. "It's one of the biggest days of the year for us in pizza."
Beer Barrel opened at 11 AM and Leach said they we're already getting flooded with calls for pizza.
