OTTAWA, Ohio (WLIO) – When you're looking for help, the last thing you want to do is hit a dead end. That's why Putnam County launched the No Wrong Door Initiative, a collaborative effort that brings together various organizations and agencies to discuss the programs and services they offer.
The goal is simple: if an individual or family needs assistance and one agency isn’t able to provide it, they can be referred to another that can.

The No Wrong Door initiative is held regularly to ensure all agencies have the most up-to-date information to share with those they serve.
“We wanted to make sure that everyone had the resources that they needed. So, if a community member came to one agency and it was wasn't the right agency for those services, we wanted to make sure that it was very seamless, that it was very person-centered care,” says Sarah Nsiah, health educator at the Putnam County Health Department.
“So it's great to see the local community come together to help our families, and you know, they also appreciate the ideal of patient centered care, resident centered care, family centered care, and we believe that having events like this and having such great support when they do come out only makes Putnam County better,” says Chelsie Niese, community nursing liaison with Bridge Home Health & Hospice.
