COLUMBUS, Ohio (WLIO) — A Putnam County business is receiving a state tax credit to help expand its operations and create new jobs.

Luxorion Plastics LLC in Leipsic has been approved for an eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit from the Ohio Tax Credit Authority.

The company is expected to create 60 full-time jobs by the end of 2029, generating more than $4.3 million in new annual payroll.

Luxorion is an industrial manufacturing company that builds burial products using eco-friendly materials for cemeteries. The project involves expanding the company's current manufacturing capabilities through a new facility.

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved 13 projects statewide. The projects are expected to create 3,553 new jobs, retain 907 jobs and generate more than $1.1 billion in investments across Ohio.
