KALIDA, Ohio (WLIO) — A Putnam County company has been approved for a tax break from the state of Ohio to expand its operations.

B-K Tool & Design in Kalida has received a seven-year, 1.294% Job Creation Tax Credit to create approximately 37 new jobs. The new employees are expected to generate $2.8 million in new annual payroll for the company.

B-K Tool was one of four companies approved for tax breaks by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority. The incentives are projected to create nearly 400 new jobs statewide and help retain 1,600 existing positions.
