OTTAWA, OH (WLIO) - Putnam County Homecare and Hospice held its 28th annual "Run for the Roses" event Saturday night, offering the community an opportunity to gather and raise funds for a good cause.

Attendees dressed as if they were at the Kentucky Derby, adding to the festive atmosphere. The event featured horse races, a live auction, and even a putting challenge, providing excitement for everyone.

"This program itself went through some changes when we were under COVID restrictions. We had to do it virtually, and it worked. But everybody's glad to get back together a couple years ago, and it's going strong. And, you know, it looks beautiful tonight. I'm proud of the work everybody did," said Trent Boop, director of operations with Putnam County Homecare and Hospice.

He goes on to thank Putnam County and the community for their support and expresses hope to see everyone again next year.
