If any of your electronic devices were replaced over Christmas, we can tell you what you can do with the old ones.
Executive director of North Central Ohio Solid Waste District, Dennis Baker says recycling is the best thing to do with any unwanted electronic devices. Not only is it easy to do, but its also good for the environment. He says they take anything from television iPads, cell phones, and cameras. All electronic devices except televisions can be dropped of for no charge, TV's and CRT monitors will cost you 60 cents per pound. Baker says all electronics that are just thrown away end up in landfills, which can be dangerous and may cause soil and water contamination as electronic waste accumulates.
All electronics can be dropped off at the North Central Ohio Solid Waste District at 815 Shawnee Road. Those electronics are shipped to companies that disassemble for reuse of the raw materials in other electronic devices.Â
