A local non-profit organization put on their annual fall fest for a good cause.
The S.O.S. Project strives to help out local veterans that need basic needs. The major way that the group raises money is through their annual fall fest. This is the sixth year that the group has put on the event, with live music, auctions, and other fun things to do while raising money. Those with the S.O.S. Project say that giving back to those that have served is the least they can do.
"They're the ones that made our world free and we are free, and without them who knows where we would be today, so they just need a little extra support sometimes, our government doesn't do enough for them I feel - maybe someday they will - we just try to give them a little extra kick," said Ron Roof, chairman of the S.O.S. Project.
The S.O.S. Project also supports other organizations like Angels Paws and Hunting with Heroes.
