Absentee ballot applications must be received by the Board of Elections by Noon on Saturday November 5th, but voters are encouraged to submit their request as soon as possible.
Just 12 days ahead of the 2016 Presidential Election, Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted announced Monday, over 1.4 million absentee ballots had been requested statewide, but, only about 300,000 of those votes have been cast.
With over 7 million Ohioans registered to vote, Husted is nervous about the turnout. If you have not mailed your ballot prior to election week, the Secretary of State's office recommends voters take their completed ballot personally to their county Board of Elections prior to election day.
