New information Friday evening on the two-alarm 4 Seasons Car Wash fire that happened early Tuesday morning on Bellefontaine Avenue.
Your News Now has obtained security camera video from 4 Seasons Car Wash that shows a person walking along the railroad track beside the business. That person works their way to the back of the business and moments later a can, which the business owner says was diesel fuel, is set on fire near the car wash's door and the fire spreads quickly.
Lima Fire Arson Investigator Toby Jenkins has the same video and is sending it off to the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation to see if it can be enhanced. Jenkins says he will continue to follow other leads in the case as well. The owner of 4 Seasons Car Wash, Kyle Benroth, is at a loss as to why this happened to them.
“Our family is just sick about it, we don’t understand who would want to do this or why. You know we are really just searching for answers and what prompted someone to do this to our business. We feel like we put a wonderful business together here in the City of Lima and we were really proud of that. Unfortunately, someone took that away from us," said Kyle Benroth, Owner of 4 Seasons Car Wash.
A reward has been posted for information leading to the arrest of this arson suspect. If you have any direct information related to this case, call 419-221-5163.
