May 14, 2024, Press Release from the Office of Ohio President Matt Huffman: COLUMBUS—The Ohio Air and Space Trail takes us on a trip back through 250 years of Ohio history, featuring our state's impact on aerospace. More than thirty locations around Ohio will detail the remarkable contributions of the people and places that forged Ohio's legacy as the birthplace of aviation.
The tour is part of the Ohio Commission for the Semiquincentennial that will celebrate the country's 250th birthday.
"I'm pleased that three of the stops on the trail will land in the 12th Senate District," said Ohio Senate President Matt Huffman. "The Wright Brothers had a vision that can still be found in the 21st Century aerospace pioneers of today, dreams and know-how combined with a healthy dose of bravery."
The 12th District stops include the Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Wapakoneta, the Champaign Aviation Museum in Urbana, the Grimes Flying Lab Museum in Urbana and the Wallace Family Learning and Innovation Center in Sidney.
