The drive was open to students and the public and had over 40 people registered.

This is the first year Solvita has partnered with Elida's Future Farmers of America (FFA) blood drive. The drive was open to students and the public and had over 40 people registered. There were snacks and free Texas Roadhouse peanuts and rolls on hand for anyone who donated.

With the national blood shortage continuing, the students know it's more important than ever to get students to roll up their sleeves and save lives.

"I think it's important because it can save lives, and I know that if you have a family member who needed blood, you would also want someone to donate, and even though you would probably want to donate, it could save your family member's life if they needed it," said Chloe Kosch, a junior at Elida High School and FFA reporter.

To incentivize people to come and donate, Solvita offered the chance to win 2 tickets to the Ohio State vs. Michigan football game for anyone who registered.
