LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Some Lima students on Friday got the chance to enjoy some seasonal fall activities while also making new friends!
Next month, on November 22nd, the Sparty Friends will unite again for a Thanksgiving celebration!
The Sparty Friends gathered this morning inside West Middle School to decorate pumpkins while enjoying popcorn and apple cider. The "Bigs" from West Middle School were paired with a "Little" from Freedom, Heritage, Independence, or Unity Elementary schools to complete these activities together while strengthening peer relationships skills.
After all the fun, we caught up with two students about what they get from this experience.

"To help kids and teach them new stuff to learn about different stuff that they don't know yet and learn new stuff in life, impact the youth, and make them feel good about themselves," said Raylen Hampton, an 8th grade student.
"Oh yeah, I'm going to have a new friend and take to watch the new zoo animals," commented Andre Amerson, a 4th grade student.
