ST. HENRY, Ohio — (WLIO) St. Henry pushed its postseason run forward Friday night, extending its winning streak to nine games with a dominant 49–12 victory over Cedarville in the Region 28 semifinals.

The Redskins set the tone early, marching down the field on the opening drive as quarterback Charlie Werling powered in a touchdown on a QB keeper. St. Henry immediately followed with a successful two-point conversion — again through Werling — to jump ahead 8–0.

Cedarville’s attempt to respond was cut short when sophomore Harrison Schwieterman laid out for an impressive interception, flipping momentum firmly back to the Redskins. St. Henry capitalized quickly, with Werling connecting on a 28-yard touchdown pass to Will Speck, stretching the lead to 15–0.

The defense continued to shine in the second quarter. Landon Schwartz snatched another interception, setting up the offense at the Cedarville 24-yard line. A few plays later, Drew Langenkamp punched in a score to widen the gap even further.

St. Henry controlled all phases the rest of the way, closing out a convincing 49–12 win to advance to the Division VII regional final, where they will play Marion Local.
