LIMA, OH (WLIO) -Â A Lima church is inviting people living and working in downtown to take a lunch break and fellowship.
St. Luke's Lutheran Church has started holding a respite lunch twice a month to give downtown Lima professionals, students, and residents the chance to break bread together. People can buy lunch from a food truck parked at the church and then come into their new Life Center to interact with others while they have lunch.
"We are a downtown Lima church, and we wanted to develop a ministry for the downtown area. So, council decided this food truck every two weeks, and hopefully, people from downtown will enjoy food, come inside, and enjoy fellowship," says Dale Laukhuf, member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
The respite lunches will be on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. St. Luke's Lutheran Church is located at 209 W. North Street, Lima, OH 45801.
