The St. Rita’s Medical Center flipping the switch on their Holiday Spirit.
The hospital held a day long street fair and bazaar capped off with the lighting of their Christmas tree. The event is sponsored by the St. Rita’s Volunteers and Auxiliary and gave people the chance to get their picture taken in sleigh pulled by a reindeer, get a balloon animal made, or sit down and talk to Santa Claus. The street fair is an annual event that St. Rita’s hopes put everybody in the Christmas mood.Â
"For us this is just another extension into our community, in a way that we support our community and just an opportunity to bring those folks in, let them see the medical center and give a little bit back to our community and enjoy the evening," said Dale Gisi, President of Mercy Health St. Rita's.
And a little information about the main attractions the Christmas tree, it stands 40 feet high, and has over 7,000 lights and 900 ornaments on it.Â
