ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - Ohio District 12 State Senator and Waynesfield native, Susan Manchester, has been appointed chair of the Senate Government Oversight and Reform Committee.
The appointment as chair comes one week after she was sworn in as District 12 state senator, which serves all of Allen, Auglaize, Champaign, Mercer, and Shelby counties and portions of Darke and Logan counties.
In a statement released, Manchester states, "It's an honor to be named the chair of this committee. We will work to keep government streamlined, efficient, and accountable to Ohioans. I know the issues facing all of our committees are important to Senate District 12, and I look forward to making sure that your voice is heard in the committee process."
Manchester was also appointed to the agriculture and natural resources, energy, finance, public utilities, health, and joint Medicaid oversight committees.
