LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Bath controlled the tempo from the opening minutes and pulled away for a 60–36 win over St. Marys on the home floor.
The Wildcats set the tone early as Drew Pester brought the crowd to its feet with a two-handed slam, part of a strong opening quarter that saw the senior finish with 12 points. Moments later, Logan Markley turned and scored in the paint to extend Bath’s lead to four.
Bath continued to build momentum when Josiah Clark grabbed his own rebound and put it back up for two, keeping the Wildcats in control. St. Marys answered with Cayden Geiger, who got the Roughriders on the board late in the quarter, but Bath still held an eight-point advantage.
In the second quarter, Blake Dingledine scored off the glass for St. Marys, but the Roughriders struggled to slow Bath’s offense. The Wildcats responded with another strong push, highlighted by Daniel Cole finishing a fast break for the hoop and the harm. The junior ended the night with 11 points.
Bath maintained control the rest of the way and closed out the game with a 60–36 victory.
