A workshop was held Wednesday morning at Rhodes State College to discuss how organizations can adapt as their employees get older.
The workshop was put on by the Learning Cafe and discussed the topic of knowledge sharing in the workplace, how organizations can continue learning and teaching with their workers. This goes along with baby boomers beginning to retire from their jobs - and with 10 thousand boomers turning 65 a day, learning how to adapt as baby boomers retire is a discussion that most organizations will need to hold.
"I think that it’s a conversation that needs to happen now to get ahead of it and start planning, to understand your employee demographic and their ages, and what their thoughts and plans are for retirement," said Diane Thielfoldt, co-founder of the Learning Cafe.
The West Central Ohio Manufacturing Consortium and the Manufacturing Extension Partnership also hosted the event along with Rhodes.
