Temple Christian School paid homage to veterans this afternoon.
Their Veterans Day Program was held in the Temple auditorium, and it involved school faculty, students, and parents. The presentation included singing songs, presenting gifts to veterans, and guest speaker Sgt. Jessica Green. While Sgt. Green is very appreciative of Veterans Day, she notes that civilians and veterans can view this day a little differently.
"When you're in a war you have a connection, a military family, and when you come home you lose that and that's hard to get back it's a connection that no one else understands so I think it is a celebration and reward for Veterans Day and that's great," explained Sgt. Jessica Green.
Sgt. Green served eight years in the U.S. Army and spent 14 months in Iraq.
