Saturday morning (3/30/19) the Allen County Educational Service Center hosted a regional event that helps provide resources for those with disabilities.
Hundreds of people attended the Allen County ESC's regional disabilities conference and resource fair today.
The resource fair featured a total of 30 regional exhibitors including the Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Autism Life Center, Marimor Industries, the YWCA.
This is an event that organizers say provides the community with an opportunity to connect with agencies and organizations that can help assist those with disabilities.
We’re very fortunate in our region to have a lot of opportunities from everything to art therapy to our county boards of DD. There’s lots and lots of information that families can connect with all in one place. Also, get some good information and just have some fun.
The conference also featured 10 informational sessions that focused on topics like dealing with trauma and coping skills, low-cost solutions for communications, and diet options.
