The Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps

Families are finding it harder to afford health care on a regular basis. Add a child with disabilities and the cost skyrockets. The Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps is a health care program through the Ohio Department of Health that works to link families of children with special needs to a network of quality providers.

It also helps families financially with the services. For parents with private insurance, B.C.M.H. could be able to help with the cost of co-pays and testing if there is a qualifying diagnosis, as well as medications.

If you have any questions about the Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps, call Connie Andrews at Allen County Public Health at 419-228-4457.
