The Lima Symphony Orchestra Reindeer Petting Zoo fun for everyone

After a successful Bells, Brass and Bows Saturday night, the Lima Symphony Orchestra continued the holiday spirit Sunday with a Reindeer Petting Zoo. Beside the Reindeer, Santa Claus was there taking pictures with the kids. There was also cookie decorating, some Christmas ornament making, and the kids could also write up their last-minute letters to Santa. Plus, a Symphony event wouldn’t be complete without live music. This is the second time the organization has held their holiday petting zoo which helps introduce themselves to people who may have not known about the symphony orchestra before.

“It’s important for us to get out into the community and not just be in the concert hall, but to do things that are a little different, a little surprising and to really make sure that our community knows about the symphony and feels welcomed,” says Elizabeth Brown-Ellis, Ex. Dir. Lima Symphony Orchestra.

The Lima symphony will be not taking a long break, because the orchestra is gearing up for their New Year’s Eve Pop concert, featuring the music of the boys from Liverpool England, The Beatles.
