LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Back for its second year, the "TEDxFaurotPark" speaker series is based on the theme of humanity.
Organizers say it's unlike anything else in the Lima region. It's an opportunity to share ideas that follow strict guidelines of no political, religious, or corporate agendas, and each speaker is fact-checked. The theme of humanity can encompass many topics and eight speakers will be presenting one that is near to them.
"We have speakers talking about drug addiction, we have speakers talking about what it's like to be queer, what it's like to be a black woman, how to resolve pace using radical compassion. We have two spoken word artists this year so we are opening and closing our program with poetry, which is kind of amazing" said Aimee Bucher, executive producer and license holder of TEDxFaurotPark.
TEDxFaurotPark is scheduled for this Saturday, October 1st at the Martha Farmer Theatre for Performing Arts at Reed Hall on the campus of Ohio State Lima. A limited number of tickets are still available at https://tedxfaurotpark.org/.
