LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The University of Northwest Ohio hosted a Two-Day Open House and Scholarship Testing event on Friday.
The open house event includes the Wendell Schick Scholarship test for High School Seniors, which features 12 categories. The winners of each category will be awarded scholarships ranging from $20,000 to $40,000, whereas the second-place winner will receive $5,000, third-place $4,000, fourth-place $3,000, and fifth-place $2,000. The testing is taking place at various locations across the 200-acre campus. At the same time, students and their families can tour the campus and meet with representatives to learn more about financial aid and housing.
"This is a great opportunity to showcase the university to all high school seniors around the area. Previous years, we used to do it separated by colleges and degree programs, but now we're doing the entire university on one weekend so students can really get a good idea of what everything at UNOH is all about," said Tony Azzarello, Director of Admissions.
The open house will continue Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Students can register at the UNOH Event Center on North Cable Road.
