Lima's first homicide of 2011 has police officials, family members and neighbors of the victim and suspect all asking why?
Police were called to 1913 Burch Avenue at about 1:40Â Tuesday morning, there was a report of a domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival, Lima police arrested 19 year Kenyada Jackson. She is being held on suspicion of murder.
Upon further investigation police found 4 year old Linda Jackson dead in the home. Her body was taken to Lucas County for an autopsy. She had been stabbed multiple times. She is Kenyada half sister.
Kenyada's stepmother, 44 year old Tammy Jackson had also been stabbed multiple times.
She ran to neighbors asking for anyone to call for help.
Lima police have handled homicides before but they say this one really hits home because of the age of both the victim and suspect and their relationship.
Lima Police Lt. Jim Baker confirms the knife that is believed to have been used in the attack has been recovered.
He also says Kenyada allegedly attacked her step mom outside the home.
Linda Jackson's body was discovered in the home. Kenyada Jackson is being treated at St. Rita's, she is listed in critical condition with unspecified injuries.
Her step mom is listed in serious condition at St. Rita's with multiple stab wounds.
Kenyada was set to graduate from Elida High School this Sunday.
Superintendent Don Diglia tells Your News Now that graduation will go on as scheduled.
He says Jackson was a good student and was a member of the track team.
The seniors last day at school was this past Friday.
No word on when Jackson will be formally charged in the case.
