UPDATE: Name released of man who was found dead in car that drove into pond

UPDATE from the Findlay Police Department (October 30th)

Findlay police say that Eric Czaplicki, 33 was pulled from the vehicle that drove into the retention pond Saturday night.  Officers say the investigation is ongoing and no foul play is expected.

FINDLAY, OH (WLIO) - A person was found dead in a vehicle that drove into a pond in Findlay Saturday night. According to Findlay Police officers around 6:14 pm, a vehicle was seen entering a retention pond near 1020 Interstate Court. Officers found the vehicle underwater 30 yards from the bank and witnesses say they didn’t see anybody get out of the pond after the vehicle drove in. The Hancock County Dive Team was called in to pull out the vehicle, and they found the driver dead inside. No names are being released until next of kin can be notified. The incident is still under investigation.
