"It's a very big change. Coming from a big hectic city, there is always so much going on. So like a really small town, it's a big, drastic change. This whole new environment will help me get more independent, and I think change my perspective a little bit on how I want to go about my life," says Ashley Marquez, moving to ONU from Chicago.
"This is a place of community and belonging. Where we come together and we agree to disagree. We are going to be learning new things and experiencing new things, and I am going to ask them to embrace it. Just embrace all the change. And this is their last big time, as you will, to grow up. And I am going to tell them to make silly mistakes. Because this is their last great time to do that," says Dr. Melissa Baumann, President of Ohio Northern University.
Classes begin on Monday.
