Friday February 14, 2025

0037 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Glenmore Road in Willshire Township for a complaint of harassment.

0537 hrs. – Deputies responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Wolfcale Road in Harrison Township. The incident was investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

0612 hrs. - Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 127 in Hoaglin Township for a report of a disabled occupied vehicle.

1140 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Hogan Street in the Village of Willshire for a report of a loose dog.

1142 hrs. – Deputies spoke with a resident from the Village of Convoy for a complaint of identity fraud.

1255 hrs. – Deputies spoke with a subject in reference to fraudulent activity.

1539 hrs. – Dispatched Van Wert EMS to a location on Van Wert Decatur Road in the City of Van Wert for a subject who had fallen.

1610 hrs. – Deputies spoke with a subject ref a possible hit skip crash that occurred on Piqua Road in Willshire Township.

1829 hrs. – Deputies spoke with a subject ref to a hit skip crash that had occurred on private property in the Village of Elgin.

1907 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of State Route 118 in Liberty Township for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a deer, no injuries were reported.

0109 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on East Wood Street in the Village of Middle Point to contact a resident for Lima Memorial.

0934 hrs. – Deputies took a report of criminal trespassing at a location on South Shane Street in the Village of Ohio City.

1021 hrs. – Dispatched Middle Point EMS to a residence on Dog Creek Road in Ridge Township for a subject who had fallen.

1500 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Monmouth Road in Harrison Township to standby as a peace officer.

1512 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on East Crawford Street in the City of Van Wert to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle.

1844 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Convoy Road in Tully Township for a report of suspicious activity.

1950 hrs. – Dispatched Middle Point EMS to a residence on Lincoln Highway in Washington Township for a subject with chest pain.

2105 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on West Tully Street in the Village of Convoy to standby as a peace officer.

2303 hrs. – Dispatched Middle Point EMS to a residence on West Wood Street in the Village of Middle Point for a subject with abdominal pain.

0056 hrs. – Deputies responded to a commercial alarm on Middle Point Road in Ridge Township.

0214 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 30 in Pleasant Township for a report of reckless driving.

0233 hrs. - Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 30 in Tully Township for a report of reckless driving.

0355 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Lincoln Highway in Washington Township for a report of a disabled vehicle.

0609 hrs. – Deputies responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on U.S. Route 30 in Union Township. The incident was investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

1103 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Lincoln Highway in Pleasant Township for a complaint of loose dogs.

1402 hrs. – Dispatched Van Wert EMS to a residence on South Shannon Street in the City of Van Wert for a subject who fell.

1411 hrs. – Dispatched Ohio City EMS to a residence on East Hoffman Street in the Village of Ohio City for a subject not feeling well.

1442 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Main Street in the Village of Venedocia for a complaint of trespassing.

1502 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Schumm Road in Willshire Township for a report of a ATV and motorcycle being reckless and damaging property.

1558 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on State Route 709 in Liberty Township to check and abandoned 911 call.

1726 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of State Route 118 in Pleasant Township for a report of a motor vehicle crash. Unit One, a 217 Dodge Caravan Driven by Thomas Lloyd, was northbound on St. Rt. 118 near Van Wert Willshire Rd. when Unit One moved to the right side of the roadway for an oncoming snowplow. Unit One lost control of the vehicle leaving the right side of the roadway and striking a mailbox before coming back onto the roadway. There were no injuries reported.

1757 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Vision Drive in the City of Van Wert to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle.

1805 hrs.- Dispatched Convoy EMS to a residence on North Main Street in the Village of Convoy for a subject having a diabetic emergency.

1905 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of the Ohio Indiana State Line Road in Tully Township for a report of a vehicle off the roadway.

1951 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Lincoln Highway in Pleasant Township for a report of domestic violence. Shyla Marie McCann age 34 of Pleasant Township was charges with First Degree Misdemeanor Domestic Violence, she was transported to the Van Wert County Correctional Facility.

2103 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Ohio Street in the Village of Convoy to check the welfare of a resident.

Monday February 17, 2025

0525 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of George Street in the City of Van Wert to assist the Van Wert Police.

0552 hrs. – Dispatched Ohio City EMS to a residence on North Main Street in the Village of Ohio City for a subject who had fallen.

0630 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Front Street in Willshire Township to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle.

1045 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on North Jefferson Street in the City of Van Wert to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle.

1058 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on U.S. Route 224 in Harrison Township to check the welfare of residents.

1124 hrs. – Dispatched Ohio City EMS to a residence on Hogan Street in the Village of Willshire for a subject who fell.

1237 hrs. – Dispatched Van Wert EMS to a residence on South Shannon Street in the City of Van Wert for a subject with chest pain.

1440 hrs. – Deputies along with Middle Point Fire and EMS responded to an area of Wren Landeck Road in Jennings Township for a report of a motor vehicle crash. Unit One, a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Jamie Kill, was heading West bound on Wren Landeck near the address of 21626 Wren Landeck. Unit One then hit a patch of ice and went off the South side of the road striking a power line pole and mailbox. The driver was treated at the scene.

1722 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Gilliland Road in Ridge Township to check the welfare of a resident.

1725 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Towne Center Boulevard in the City of Van Wert to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle.

1736 hrs. – Dispatched Middle Point EMS to a residence on Erie Street in the City of Delphos for a subject who had fallen.

1755 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on State Street in the Village of Willshire for a report of a domestic dispute.

1815 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Giffin Road in Hoaglin Township to check an open line 911 call.

1902 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Gatsby Boulevard in the City of Van Wert to assist the Van Wert Police.

2034 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Hogan Street in the Village of Willshire for a report of a loose dog.

2049 hrs. – Dispatched Convoy EMS to a residence on Ohio Indiana State Line Road in Harrison Township for a subject with flu symptoms.

2148 hrs. – Deputies spoke with a resident from Bonnewitz Avenue in the City of Van Wert for a complaint of theft that occurred on Boroff Road in Ridge Township.
