WAPAKONETA, OH (WLIO) - A Wapakoneta man has changed his plea to multiple charges surrounding his attempt to burn his house down.

According to court documents, 77-year-old Gerald Fullenkamp changed his plea to guilty on two of the five counts against him. He pleaded to aggravated arson and cruelty to a companion animal. The other 3 charges were dismissed.
On October 5th, 2024, Wapakoneta Police officers were called to Fullenkamp's home around 4 a.m. because he allegedly threatened to burn his home down.
On October 5, 2024, the Wapakoneta Police Department was called to Fullenkamp's home, where they found the second story on fire and had to force entry to get Fullenkamp out of the home. A pre-sentence investigation has been ordered with sentencing at a later date.
