The trial is underway for a 20-year-old man facing charges related to a shooting last summer at Bill’s Drive-Thru. Jeremiah Washington, 20, is currently charged with felonious assault and aggravated robbery. Both charges carry firearm specifications. In July 2024, Allen County deputies responded to Bill’s Drive-Thru after receiving reports of a shooting.

Gervens Justilien, the man accused of the March 2024 murder of an American Township woman, will have his trial postponed. Originally scheduled to begin on January 14, 2025, Judge Jeffrey Reed allowed a motion for continuance entertained by Justilien's defense. A new trial date has not been set. The postponement is to allow an independent DNA expert to complete their investigation of collected evidence and release their findings.

An April trial date has been set for a Lima man for a 2023 murder case. Allen County Common Pleas Court judge Terri Kohlrieser set the jury trial for 23-year-old Michael Oliphant to begin on April 7, 2025. Oliphant is facing murder and felonious assault charges for the death of 59-year-old Kirk Perine.

A Wapakoneta man has changed his plea to multiple charges surrounding his attempt to burn his house down. According to court documents, 77-year-old Gerald Fullenkamp changed his plea to guilty on two of the five counts against him. He pleaded to aggravated arson and cruelty to a companion animal. The other 3 charges were dismissed.
