ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - Gervens Justilien, the man accused of the March 2024 murder of an American Township woman, will have his trial postponed.
Originally scheduled to begin on January 14, 2025, Judge Jeffrey Reed allowed a motion for continuance entertained by Justilien's defense. A new trial date has not been set. The postponement is to allow an independent DNA expert to complete their investigation of collected evidence and release their findings.

Justilien is being charged with murder, rape, strangulation, and felonious assault connected to the homicide of 26-year-old Chrislande Auguste.
