ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - A trial date has been set in Allen County Common Pleas Court for a man accused of murder from back in March of this year.

31-year-old Gervens Justilien will face a jury trial starting on January 14, 2025, with no other motions pending at this time.

Judge Jeffrey Reed told the court that given the nature of the charges and the need for translation by interpreters, the trial may last longer than normal, perhaps up to a week.

Gervens Justilien has murder trial moved back to January 2025

Justilien is facing charges of murder, strangulation, rape, and felonious assault for the March 13, 2024, death of a 26-year-old woman, Christland Auguste.

Justiliens is being charged with murder, rape, strangulation, and felonious assault connected to the homicide of 26-year-old Chrislande Auguste back on March 13th in American Township. Both the victim and defendant are from Haiti.
