WAPAKONETA, OH (WLIO) - A minor is in critical condition after an incident with a gun in Wapakoneta Sunday morning.
Around 5:30am, the Wapakoneta Police Department was contacted about a shooting incident. According to a press release, they discovered a 15-year-old male with a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries and is in critical condition.
Foul play is not believed to be a factor, but the police and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation are looking into the case. No further information or the identity of the individual will be released at this time. Crisis counselors will be available for students of Wapakoneta High School.
