They saw a need and the West Ohio Food Bank is going to provide a solution.
Anyone in the community needing a meal for the holiday can drive through at their offices this Friday which is Christmas Eve. Regardless of income status or personal situation, a ready to heat and eat meal will be provided for each member of your family while supplies last.
Jason Aldrich WOFB Communications and Public Relations Manager explains, “Obviously the lingering effects of COVID are still out there. We had the staff, we had the items, we have volunteers that wanted to step up and do this. And again, Christmas can be a lonely time for many. Maybe folks don’t really a lot of family around or really don’t have any plans. We’re even inviting those that are just tired of the hustle and bustle and don’t want to cook for the day.”
The meal pick-up will be like their food distribution where you will drive around their building on East Kibby Street. It will be held from 9 am to 11 am. The meal consists of ham slices, green beans, mashed potatoes, applesauce, a roll, and a dessert. Again, this is while supplies last.
