ST. MARYS Ohio (WLIO) — Week four of the high school boys basketball season delivered no shortage of highlight-reel moments, but one play stood above the rest.
Celina junior Gavin Wicker has been named this week’s K&M Contracting Play of the Week following an unbelievable sequence against St. Marys in Western Buckeye League action.
In the first quarter, Wicker attacked the basket and somehow found a way to score while falling to the floor. The shot dropped through the net, and Wicker drew the foul to complete the three-point play, leaving teammates and fans in disbelief.
The highlight capped off a dominant night for the Bulldogs guard. Wicker finished with a game-high 31 points to lead Celina to a win over the Roughriders.
Celina will be back on the floor Tuesday when the Bulldogs host Wayne Trace, but for now, Wicker takes home Play of the Week honors for his incredible effort on the hardwood.
