LIMA (WLIO) - Lima Central Catholic opened the season in dominant fashion Thursday night, rolling past Shawnee 51-20 at Spartan Stadium.

Senior quarterback Brady Parker connected with senior receiver Jaxon White for a touchdown just 41 seconds into the game. After a Shawnee turnover, Carter Lester powered in another score before intercepting a pass and returning it 80 yards for a touchdown.

Shawnee answered with a 44-yard touchdown from freshman Kei Lasenby, but LCC quickly regained control. Parker later connected with Michael Quatman for a 59-yard score, while Lester added another rushing touchdown as part of a four-touchdown night.

The Thunderbirds improve to 1-0 with the 51-20 win, while Bob Olwin's debut as Shawnee head coach ends in a loss.
