DEFIANCE, Ohio (WLIO) — The Defiance Bulldogs took care of business at home, rolling past Fremont Ross 74–50 in the first-ever WBL-NLL Challenge during the annual Grube Family Holiday Classic.

Defiance entered the matchup looking to bounce back after an overtime loss to Wapakoneta, and the Bulldogs did just that by setting the tone early. In the first quarter, Trey Bibler knocked down a three-pointer as Defiance jumped out to a seven-point lead.

The Bulldogs continued to stretch the floor from beyond the arc, with Josiah Schlatter drilling a deep three to extend the advantage. Schlatter led Defiance offensively, finishing with 18 points.

In the second quarter, Jackson Becker cleaned up a miss with an offensive rebound and putback, adding to the Bulldogs’ momentum. Defiance stayed aggressive on offense, and senior Jordyn Wright connected on a straightaway three, one of his 13 points on the night.

Defiance pulled away in the second half and secured the 74–50 win over Fremont Ross.
