LIMA, OH (WLIO) - With the number of people the West Ohio Food Bank serves, they are always looking for ways to improve the experience.
The West Ohio Food Bank is now providing a "service card" for people attending food distribution days.
The food bank is now providing a "service card" for people attending food distribution days. It's a way to streamline the process of signing in at the event.
"So basically you'll have your own barcode. Your unique own barcode. Not only will it help you to come right through and get you checked in when you come to a distribution. It will probably take a second where opposed to what we've been doing to double-check to make sure they're in our system; if they're not in our system, we have to put them in our system, so all of that is going to be gone away hopefully with this new program," explained Jason Aldrich, communications and PR manager for West Ohio Food Bank.
You will still need to register for the monthly food distributions and present this card there to be scanned.
Sign-up for the new service card will be on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the West Ohio Food Bank from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. You will still need to register for the monthly food distributions and present this card there to be scanned.
