Wood found competent to stand trial for allegedly stabbing a Lima woman to death

Daniel Wood pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to five charges- aggravated murder, murder, aggravated burglary and robbery, and grand theft of a motor vehicle.

Back in January, a 76-year-old Lima woman was found dead with multiple stab wounds, and Wood was arrested the next day while driving the victim's car. He also has an outstanding warrant from the United States Navy for abandoning his post, and the court is investigating how this could affect proceedings. The pre-trial has been scheduled for March 25th.
