Jeremy Kindle pleaded guilty to 20 of the 65 counts and all of the charges of rape were dropped as part of the plea deal. He is still facing a possible sentence of 122 years in prison. Earlier this week, he turned down a plea deal offer made by prosecutors.

28-year-old Jaquaveius Harvey signed 2 time waivers. One to have 11 drug related charges heard before jury in October.  The other five charges, which involve an alleged 2020 shooting incident, will be heard in November in the Allen County Common Pleas Court. The indictment by a grand jury alleges that on or about January 8th of 2020. Harvey attempted to cause physical harm to four different individuals and discharged a firearm into an occupied structure.

31-year-old Joshua McPheron was indicted by an Allen County Grand Jury on two counts of Gross Sexual Imposition which are felonies of the third degree and Sexual Imposition which is a misdemeanor.  According to the indictment, the first offense happened between March and April of 2020, and involved a person under the age of 13 years old at the time.  The second offense happened in August of 2020 and involved a different person who as 14 years old.  McPheron is currently in the Allen County Jail and will be arraigned on the charges on July 8th

A Lima man who has chosen to represent himself has chosen to not accept a plea deal. John Sanders has been charged with felonious assault and kidnapping, both with gun specifications, after Lima police say that he shot twice through a door, nearly hitting his girlfriend.

66-year-old Alan Kingsbery faces one count of Gross Sexual Imposition, a felony of the 4th degree. He is accused of having sexual contact with a female special needs student at the school. Kingsbery is known in the Lima area as a cyclist that competed in the team time trials at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal. In 1978 at the U.S. time trials championship, Kingsbery was hit by a cement truck, suffering severe injuries. He later competed in cycling events for those with disabilities.

A Lima man was sentenced to 36 years in prison for raping two women and other charges. In March, Terrez Carter was found guilty by an Allen County Jury of rape, kidnapping, cocaine possession and weapons under disability charges.  The Judge gave him 11 years for the rape offenses for each of the woman and 11 years for the drug charge and 3 years for the weapons charge.  During the trial, it came out that Carter was in relationship with one of the women for a year when the incident occurred, and both women new Carter because of the drugs.   Before sentencing people spoke on behalf of Carter and his character.   Prosecutors were trying to get the maximum sentence for Carter, which could have meant nearly 70 years in prison.

Dejuan Lucas originally pleaded guilty to possession of heroin and fentanyl charges and also corrupting another with drugs. But since he withdrew his guilty plea, Judge Terri Kohlrieser says she will not accept any more plea deals and set a July trial date for all 12 charges against him. Not only is he facing drug trafficking and possession charges, but also involuntary manslaughter for allegedly selling the drugs that led to the overdose death of Dino Gerdeman in 2020.

The lawyer for 19-year-old Jervon Fernandez Wesley wants Judge Terri Kohlrieser to review the evidence to see if his client’s rights were violated. Following the August 8th deadly fire, Detective Steve Stechschulte interviewed the people who were at the home, including Fernandez Wesley, trying to get a lead on who started the fire that killed 14-year-old Michael Gillyard. At that time, Stechschulte says Fernandez Wesley was not a suspect and his rights were not read to him, but during a second interview, he was read his rights after his accounts of that night started to change.

Larisco Little, Sr., who was charged with Gross Sexual Imposition, was given 18 months in prison by Judge Jeffrey Reed. Prosecutors say he took advantage of his girlfriend's 14-year-old daughter, both of them were living with him at the time. The 38-year-old says he regrets what he did. The victim and her mother said in a letter to the court that they are seeking therapy for what happened. Little will also have to register as a tier one sex offender.
