Lima City Schools invited the public out to check out their new campus for their agriculture and engineering programs and the bright future that it will help provide. Getting the students ready for their future is the goal of the 12 career tech programs at Lima City Schools. And with the new campus, the Agriculture and Engineering Programs now have the tools to help them transition straight from high school to college or the workforce, because that is how the school designed it.

The governor and lieutenant governor have awarded Bath Local Schools to receive a little over $2 million in career tech grant money. With this multi-million dollar grant coming to the school district, school administrators will be using the funds to further expand and build upon career technical education in fields like health sciences, engineering, and manufacturing at Bath. A large number of Mercer and Auglaize County high school students enrolled at Tri Star Career Compact were recognized for their academic excellence. 32 students were awarded Outstanding Student Awards for their respective academic program and were treated with a catered dinner Monday night at the 13th annual Tri Star Career Compact Awards Banquet in Celina.

School officials announced the addition of an Audio Engineering Technology program coming this fall joining the new agriculture education and 10 existing Career Tech programs offered. February is Career Tech month and the school is looking at ways to get students interested in career paths at an earlier age. The Career Tech department has created “The Skills Box” to be personalized for students.
