The hospital recently hosted a Lunch and Learn event for prospective volunteers, where attendees heard from current volunteers who have dedicated decades of service to supporting patients and staff. The event highlighted the wide range of roles available, including patient care support, clerical work, gift shop assistance and other essential services.
"Children are just so receptive to anything new, and they're naturally curious," Crust said. "They have so many questions about the instruments, and when we play music for them, their first instinct is to dance or move."

The Allen East Robotics Team gave a sneak peek of their inventions Monday evening. Allen East 5th through 9th grade students involved with the robotics team displayed their robotic creations to board and family members as they prepare for their national competition in April.
In partnership with Procter & Gamble, Heir Force Community provides its students with a hands-on learning experience building digital multi-meters alongside local engineers. During the workshop, students were able to take their curriculum outside of the classroom and gain insight into the world of engineering.
Delphos Jefferson has a "Career Choice" program where they talk with freshman about their future goals and helps them to create a 10-year plan, along with learning more about career building and budgeting. The school is just one of 22 schools across the country to win the "Career choices silver medal" as they continue to be dedicated to student success.
The Spartan Inn is the pride and joy of the Lima City Schools culinary and food service management program. The restaurant is run by the students as they learn the fundamentals of the food industry with hands-on real work experience. The students say it is an experience that exceeds their expectations.

A meeting was held in order to appoint new officers for the organization, as well as welcome new members, and brief them on what they can do as a part of the group.
