On Thursday, September 18, friends and supporters of the Lima Memorial Foundation will gather at Apex Sports Zone for Journey to the Max, an epic evening that embodies the spirit of maximalism: bold experiences and meaningful opportunities to make the greatest possible impact on health care in the greater Lima region.

This year Lima Memorial is celebrating its 125th anniversary, so they donated $125,000 to the foundation. The Elida High School Choir also came to spread holiday cheer and sang seasonal Christmas music for those in attendance. The auxiliary also saw its new officers being installed for 2025 and honored the lifetime achievement awards for 5 volunteers. Each volunteer has contributed over 20 years of service to the hospital, and among the 5 of them, they totaled 18,425 hours of volunteer service.

August 7, 2024, Press Release from Lima Memorial Health System: Did you know that one in five children in Ohio faces food insecurity? The Lima Memorial Foundation Emerging Philanthropists and the Children’s Hunger Alliance invite you to an insightful event on Thursday, August 15, focused on raising awareness about children’s food insecurity in our area. The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Lincoln Park and last until approximately 1 p.m.

The Lima Memorial Foundation takes time to thank their donors for helping fund local health care.  In 2022, the foundation raised over $1.9 million which will help with improvements and programs at the health center.   Some of the past foundation donations went to funding the da Vinci Surgical Robots and the Comprehensive Chronic Disease Management Program.  Thursday, 27 businesses and individuals were recognized for hitting cumulative donation milestones ranging from $100,000 to Betsy and Neil Winget’S total contribution of $500,000 to the foundation.
