A busy night for local law enforcement after the report of a shots fire call just after 8:30 on Tuesday in the 900 block of West Wayne Street in Lima. Police say several houses were shot at in the area. Officers were going door to door in the neighborhood to make sure everyone was okay.

Findlay Police say an officer-involved shooting occurred in the city during a foot pursuit by officers. Just before 6:30 Monday evening, Findlay Police were dispatched to Bernard Park on a report of 3 juveniles drinking alcoholic beverages. After officers arrived, a male juvenile suspect began to flee by foot, and an officer pursued him. During the chase, the juvenile fired a gunshot at the officer, and the officer returned fire hitting the male suspect.
A Lakeview man has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity for shooting at officers during a standoff in August 2024. 57-year-old Holley Tolliver Junior made that plea on the 39 charges he was indicted on, including 16 counts each of attempted murder and felonious assault. Tolliver will go for a mental evaluation because of the insanity plea. According to Logan County law enforcement, on August 14th, Logan County deputies were called to Big Bear Path for reports of gunfire hitting a house. They determined that the shots came from Tolliver's home.
The U.S. Marshals and other law enforcement agencies captured a fugitive sex offender Friday afternoon at a home in the 400 block of Cornell Drive. 38-year-old Quinntel Bagley is accused of kidnapping the same Grove City woman twice since June.
A shots-fired situation in Logan County on Wednesday resulted in an hours-long standoff on the north side of Indian Lake. Gunfire occurred as authorities attempted to breach a home on the north side of Indian Lake around 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. Sheriff's deputies got a call regarding a home being struck by gunfire on Big Bear Path in Chippewa late this morning and determined a home was struck. The resulting investigation ended in a man refusing to surrender to authorities. And causing nearby residents to be evacuated.
A man charged with a shooting that seriously injured another man was arraigned on the charge Friday afternoon. 20-year-old Jeremiah Washington appeared in Lima Municipal Court on a felonious assault with deadly weapon charge from earlier this week. On Wednesday morning, Allen County sheriffs were called out to the 2,000 block of North West Street near Bill's Drive-Thru for a shooting victim. Washington took off towards the Brower Road Apartments and was arrested a short time later. The victim with critical but non-life-threatening injuries was taken to Mercy Health Saint Rita's.
A man remains in critical condition after being shot earlier today just north of the city. Allen County deputies called out to the 2000 block of North West Street at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. Scanner traffic said the victim was shot in the arm and leg near Bill's Drive-thru. The area was roped off as detectives started their investigation. The suspect took off towards the Brower Road Apartments and authorities say he was arrested a short time later.
