LIMA, OH (WLIO) - A busy night for local law enforcement after the report of a shots fired call in Lima.

Officers were called to the 900 block of West Wayne around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday for a reported shooting.
The Lima Police Department says officers were dispatched just after 8:30 on Tuesday night to the 900 block of West Wayne Street. They learned that at least two people were involved in a dispute and exchanged gunfire, striking multiple homes in the area. Officers on the scene found over 30 spent shell casings.
A 29-year-old man was transported to Mercy Health St. Rita's with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. No arrests have been made at this time.

December 17, 2024, Press Release from Detective Jesse Harrod of the Lima Police Department: On Tuesday, December 17th, 2024, around 8:30 PM, Lima PD officers responded to the 900 block of W. Wayne St, Lima, in reference to a shooting. A short time later, a 29 year old male arrived at the St. Rita’s Medical Center suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Officers learned at least two subjects were involved in a dispute and they ultimately exchanged gunfire. Officers located over 30 spent shell casings at the scene and multiple houses appeared to have been struck by the gunfire. No arrests have been made at this time.
