An 8-year-old boy from Bluffton had the opportunity of a lifetime after winning the Armstrong Air and Space Museum’s “First Flight” contest. Hudson Warwick and his family traveled to Neil Armstrong Airport in New Knoxville, where he flew inside a 1928 Ford Tri-Motor airplane. It’s the same type of aircraft as Neil Armstrong first flew in as a young boy back in July 1936.

On June 12th, the airport will be inviting people in to check out their new terminal building, which was completed last fall. Bi-plane rides and food trucks are just some of the features of the grand opening event, along with running the Fly Me to the Moon 5K on the runway.

Santa Claus was busy in West Central Ohio on Saturday, and one of this stops included touring the village of New Knoxville. A special "Santa Hunt" event was held in the village, where families toured the village looking for hints of Santa Claus at a variety of businesses.
