Lima man was seriously injured when he drove his pickup into the path of a semi tractor trailer Friday night. The crash happened around 11 p.m. at the intersection of Phillips Rd. and SR 117. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 43-year-old Braden Schick was turning on to 117 from Phillips Rd., when he turned into the opposite lane of traffic and was hit head on by a semi driven by truck driver from Virginia.
According to troopers with the Lima Post, just before noon on Tuesday, two cars were heading southbound on Cable Road when one car hit the second car in the rear, pushing it into the northbound lane, striking the third vehicle coming the other way. The third vehicle was pushed into the fourth vehicle which was also traveling in the northbound lane.

A Harrod man was killed in a single vehicle accident Friday night in Perry Township. According to the Troopers from the Lima Post, just before 11 thirty 46-year-old Glen Davis was traveling east on State Route 309 near Mumaugh road when he drove off the right side of the road and hit a tree. He suffered fatal injuries and was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was not wearing his seatbelt and troopers say that alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
A Columbus Grove man was killed in a Saturday night crash in Bath Township. According to Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Lima Post, the crash happened just after 10 p-m at the intersection of Ottawa and State Roads. 55-year-old Dale Mayer was traveling north on Ottawa Road when he struck a semi driven by 26-year-old Kameron Lynch of Florida. The semi was heading south and trying to turn east on to State Road when the crash occurred. Mayer was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to the Lucas County Coroner’s office for an autopsy. The crash remains under investigation.
According to Troopers from the OSHP Lima Post, the crash happened just after 6:30 a.m. on S. Defiance Trail near Agerter Road. 46-year-old Angela Steele’s vehicle drove off the right side of the road and struck a tree. Steele was pronounced dead at the scene. The Ohio State Highway Patrol suspect impairment could be a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
