“So it's a great opportunity to lift that financial barrier, and that's what our mission is at the university, to be able to have access, make it affordable, of course, with our academic excellence,” said Bryan Albright, assistant dean of student success. “But this just lifts that financial barrier for students who are very excited, where students don't have to worry about financing their education, they can just focus on their academic studies.”

As part of their survey class, freshman from The Ohio State University Lima in various majors participate in the school's Success Series. It gives them a chance to see how skills they learn in the classroom can be applied to careers right in their area. It also helps those undecided in their studies to create a path for the future. On Thursday, students visited The Met and spoke to the owner about his journey to culinary success.

New and incoming students got a special package from the Ohio State University Lima campus Monday morning. The university provided students with kits of masks, hand sanitizer, and other PPE to prepare them for the upcoming school year.

Ohio State University Lima will be adding a new bachelor's degree program to its list next year. Beginning in the fall 2020 semester, OSU Lima students will officially be eligible for a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering technology. The college of engineering at the Ohio State University visited factories and plants around the state and did some extensive research to design an engineering degree that is focused on manufacturing.

The Ohio State University Lima campus welcomed in the new students that will be making their way to the campus this fall. OSU Lima held its first day of summer orientation Wednesday afternoon for students and their families. Those attending the orientation were given a tour of campus and visited a resource fair to learn about different clubs and activities that are available on campus. Orientation is one of the first things the new students will do as Buckeyes.
