January 15, 2025, Press Release from ArtSpace/Lima: ArtSpace/Lima will present an evening of poetry under the direction of Lima’s Poet Laureate, Laurin Wolf, on Thursday, January 23. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., reading starts at 6:30 p.m. The event will celebrate the work of David Adams and is centered around a book annotated by him called, “Good Poems for Hard Times.”

September 30, 2024, Press Release from the the Ohio Department of Natural Resources: VAN BUREN, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) unveiled a new Haiku Trail today at Van Buren State Park (12259 Township Rd 218, Van Buren, OH 45889), highlighting the connection of nature and poetry. A haiku is a short poem that consists of three lines of text. This is the second haiku trail on state park property, with the first at Hueston Woods State Park. The new haiku trail features 20 poems along the Van Buren State Park’s current Lakeshore Trail, a 0.5-mile path with views of Van Buren Lake. Benches are situated along the trail so hikers can reflect upon the featured poems and find inspiration from nature. The 20 haikus that were selected were chosen from over 150 haikus written by those local to the park’s area.

"River & Rust: A Night of Poetry" at ArtSpace/Lima, is an event open to the public tomorrow evening. The book titled "River and Rust" features poems from past and present residents of Allen County. They all have personal interpretations of what life is like here in Lima. The collection represents talented individuals from various races, ages, and backgrounds.
